Name: April Beguesse Married: No Children: Harrison John John Beguesse (my dog) Hometown: 1st) Covina, California - 2nd) San Diego, California Affiliations /Career/Business: Owner of a legal publishing business Why did you join Girlfriends Meet Up? I relocated I’m looking for Girlfriends to: An avenue for me to find woman to explore, interact and hang with. How long have you lived in Las Vegas? March 2010 will be 1-year Do you find it hard to meet new friends? No If so why? Are you shy? Not a shy bone in my body What characteristics do you look for in a Girlfriend? Normal is good. Someone who has a level of self assurance, financially can, at times, partake in the finer things in life (i.e., spa days, dining, arts and entertainment and shopping excursions.) Honesty is good… Do you like playing sports? If so what? I'm much more of a spectator fan. Huge football (go chargers!) and baseball (go padres!) fan. If so what? I have really bad knees (Ugh!). But I can bowl, hike, dance (is that a sport?) If you had one wish what would it be? My mother just passed, so I would love to have one more conversation with her…but realistically one wish would be – good health? That’s a tough one…if wishes were fishes everyone would be swimming What would you like Girlfriends to know about you? For everyone to take the time during our meet-ups and take a moment to learn something about me and me about them. If you could have lunch with one person who would it be? Alive: Alec Baldwin or Barbra Streisand – Dead: George Harrison or Richard Pryor In a brief statement share why you believe every woman should have Girlfriends? Not really sure I can do that. There are many women, I know, that don’t do friendships well. Having friends like that make you think friendships are overrated. Being a “girlfriend” comes with a lot of responsibility and without nurturing said responsibility the outcome can cause a lot of disappointment and pain. If you have the dedication for the long haul and know the end result is a beautiful thing than yes “that type of woman” should have friends and the result is a “good” thing |
